This summer I met my good friends and their daughters at the Hampton Roads Demonstration Gardens in Virginia Beach. These girls are full of energy and were so much fun to chase around the gardens.

I met with Joe to discuss a project and brought my camera for some test shots. As we were talking about the wooden spoons he makes, he said he would make one for me. So as we talked he worked on carving a wooden spoon, almost entirely by hand. Here are some of my shots from that night.

The Only time a machine was used was to cut out the overall shape.

I love getting to capture children as they are growing up and Joey has grown so much in the last year. He is such a sweet kid, when he saw me coming up the trail he ran up to me and gave me big hug! It was great seeing him and his family again.

I had a great time with Felisha and Adil at First Landing State Park for their engagement session. This May I will be capturing their wedding just up the beach at the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel. I'm sure it's going to be a great party!
