Joey 4 Year Mini Session | Chesapeake Child Photography

I love getting to capture children as they are growing up and Joey has grown so much in the last year. He is such a sweet kid, when he saw me coming up the trail he ran up to me and gave me big hug! It was great seeing him and his family again.

Last week I met with Sharyn and her sister-in-law Courtney to take pictures of their boys. We decided on the Chesapeake Arboretum, which I have heard a lot about but hadn't shot there. We mainly shot on the main grounds and barely went into the woods. I plan on going back and explore more of it, as it is a great location.

Ashley's Bridal Session (Chesapeake, VA)

I met Ashley at her parents house for her Bridal Session. I  setup my gear while she put her dress on and once I was dialed in we started going. She is such a beautiful bride. I shot her wedding this past weekend and it was a beautiful wedding. Those pictures will be up soon so check back often.

Ashley & Bryan Engagement

I had the great opportunity to photograph Ashley & Brian for their engagement at Northwest River Park in Chesapeake. They are a great couple and I now have a band that I need to check out and an accountant for next year.

Baby Bentley

Introducing Bentley, he was three days old in these pictures. I love newborn photography, they are so small and pliable, for the most part. When I first arrived he was wide awake, I took some shots before we got him fed & back to sleep. He is such an adorable baby.

For lighting I positioned him on their dining room table with the black seamless backdrop. There are two windows on the right and I setup a continuous light softened with an umbrella to the left to balance the light. This worked out very well.

Martie Maternity

My friends John and Mia are expecting their second child in a couple weeks. We started planning this shoot about 7 months ago, when she found out she was pregnant. I setup in their living room which has this nice big wall that was a perfect backdrop for our shoot.

Northwest River Park

I officially a published author, this my second story about hiking local parks was picked up by AltDaily. I have been approaching these as both an article and a photo essay, where each can stand alone without the other but together they make a great article.
