Maternity Sessions : What to Wear & Bring

Maternity Sessions

I love doing maternity sessions in my studio, as it put the focus on you, mom. There is a lot that we can do with a couple outfits and some props. Here are my recommendations for what to bring for your maternity session.

If Dad and/or any siblings are coming with you coordinate at least one outfit for all of you.

PLEASE don’t wear any tight fitting clothes prior to your session. We don’t want any lines on your belly/skin from tight fitting clothes.

Clothes: 3-4 outfits
  • ·      Solid color shirts (patterns distract from you and your belly)
  • ·      Form Fitting shirts that ate tight but have some stretch (again to show off your belly)
  • ·      At Least 1 button up shirt/sweater
  • ·      Jeans (Regular jeans, you don’t need to be able to button them)
  • ·      2-4 Bras
  • ·      Dads Work Clothes (Military Uniforms, Hard Hats, Shirt & Tie, etc.)
  • ·      Hats/Hair Accessories
  • ·      Fabric (I have Pink, Blue and White)

Props
  • ·      Ultrasound Picture(s)
  • ·      Letter Blocks (I have a basic set if you would like)
  • ·      Pink/Blue Ribbon
  • ·      Baby Booties
  • ·      Favorite Baby Book
  • ·      Stuffed Animal or Toys
  • ·      Something with the babies name on it
  • ·      Flowers (if they have significance)
  • ·      Dry Erase Board (I have one to use if you would like)

Feel free to bring anything that you would like to wear/use and we can establish a plan before getting started.
